Koishi Komeiji (古明地こいし) is the EX stage boss of Touhou 11, Subterranean Animism.
Koishi has been described as a happy, playful girl, but not in an airheaded or childish way. She is a Satori (not to be confused with her sister of the Same Name), which is a type of mind reading youkai.
Due to the hate that she got for being a satori, she closed her mind-reading eye, now unable to be hated. The side effect of this being that she sealed away her own conscious mind, and is now now unable to be loved or even remembered.
why do you like koishi so much, elly?
I like koishi alot because truthfully we are very very similar!! most people i'm friends with who like touhou have told me she reminds them of me, which makes me happy to hear.
really, I would have chosen my name to be Koishi instead of elly if when I was thinking of a touhou characters name I wasn't bothered by the idea of "westerners using an east-asian name" (yeah, I'm named after a touhou character, cool is'nit?)
